I just realized I am a month behind on blogging. Opps! Life has been crazy (in a good way) lately. Our most exciting news...we SOLD OUR HOUSE! The house that we bought 8 years ago, before two children, has been sold. It is definitely bittersweet. This is where our story began. This house is where we built so many memories. This house is where I brought my two babies home. This house brought us many years of happiness, but life moves on, and we are excited to move to our new house in Carmel and begin our next chapter. I will update with pictures once we are unpacked and settled...hmmm, that might be next year, haha:)
In the meantime, here are some recent pictures of the two cutest kids I know:)
What a great Easter we had! Bill took off Friday and we took the kids to Conner Prairie. It was a beautiful day. Lucy was playing, tripped, and bumped her head...you will see below on the pictures:) We took the kids on Saturday to the egg drop in Westfield. Barrett was speechless when the helicopter dropped all the eggs. Sunday we went to church and then had the family over for a nice Easter dinner. We are so blessed!
I still remember like it was yesterday. I can remember the smell, the tears, the prayers, and me having to trust in everyone and hand over my baby girl at 7:35 am on March 22, 2012. It was the worse feeling in the world. I looked over and saw Bill crying...he is my rock, he can't cry I thought. Looking back, it all worked out and Lucy is healthy and happy as ever. God is SO good, the doctors are amazing, and the nurses are fabulous. We LOVE Riley.
Lucy has become quite the stinker lately. She is miss independent....she refuses to sit in her high chair
and does not let me feed her. She got her way as you can see. She just
likes to eat like a dog now:)
.
She and Barrett love to wrestle. She just giggles when Barrett pins her down.
She likes to hide from me when she is doing something she shouldn't be doing...example, being a paci thief.
Last night I had the honor of attending the Riley Pediatric Family Advisor meeting. I will be attending these once a month. I love being able to give back my time for a hospital that did so much for my Lucy. Not to mention the amazing doctors and nurses! The CEO of Riley was at the meeting so it is so great to see that all of our ideas/goals for the 2013 year will be taken seriously. Just a short blog post:) Had to share my excitement! Courtney
We are a family of four living the dream! We have been blessed with two
children, Barrett and Lucy. This blog was created to capture memories and share our blessings with friends and families...
Enjoy!
