Two sweet videos I just had to share. The one of Lucy just cracks me up. You will definitely smile when watching this.
My sister and brother in law babysat Barrett and this is what he
learned. Can't wait for them to have kids someday (payback)! On Monday I got a
"talking to" from Barrett's teacher because he was singing a wedgie song
and giving his friends wedgies! Joys of boys:) ( and babysitters)
Lucy woke up from nap yesterday and her tummy was HUGE! (In the picture you can see her "zipper" from heart surgery and her chest tube incision). Back story... Lucy was born malrotated but had the laproscopic LADDS procedure to fix it. Fast forward, yesterday she would scream anytime you touched her stomach. This is so not like Lucy but I didn't panic because she hadn't pooped yet during the day. The pain kept getting worse so I called the pediatrician and she said come in right away. When a patient is born malrotated you have to be concerned about a possible bowel obstruction or volvulus. We wanted to rule this out. After we got to the pediatrician Lucy threw up. The color had a tint of green in it so we were sent down to the Riley ER for testing.
Once we got to the ER at Riley it was over a 4 hour wait!! Children were everywhere! The last thing Lucy needed was to sit in a germ infested room. However, the staff was great, and got us back right away. Lucy had an X-Ray done on her tummy and everything looked perfect. She just was very backed up with stool. Gross, I know, but so thankful for that news!
So, yes, we went to the ER for constipation. However, with Lucy and her history you never know. We were so scared something was happening. Thank you all for the prayers, the power of prayer is amazing!
Barrett is now back at school and loving it! During our days at home this is our new way of life. Lucy is everywhere now! You turn around for one second and she is off to Barrett's room, under the table, playing in the bathroom, etc. Barrett, well he wears his new Optimus Prime costume 24/7...:) Love my life!
We are a family of four living the dream! We have been blessed with two
children, Barrett and Lucy. This blog was created to capture memories and share our blessings with friends and families...
Enjoy!
